Robyn Rihanna Fenty is a Barbadian singer, model, and former beauty queen. She also serves as the cultural ambassador for Barbados. She is the first Barbadian artist to win a Grammy Award. Rihanna is currently signed to the Def Jam Recordings label. She has attained five Billboard Hot 100 number ones thus far ("SOS", "Umbrella", "Take a Bow", "Disturbia" and T.I.'s "Live Your Life").Rihanna broke into the recording industry in 2005 with the release of her debut album, Music of the Sun, which features the hit single "Pon de Replay". Less than a year later, Rihanna released A Girl Like Me and earned her first number-one single, "SOS". In 2007, Rihanna released her third studio album, Good Girl Gone Bad. Along with the Reloaded edition, the album has yielded eight singles, including "Umbrella", "Don't Stop the Music", "Take a Bow" and "Disturbia".

Rihanna Beautiful Pictures

Rihanna started recording in the studio with numerous different producers, including The-Dream , Tricky Stewart, Chase & Status, Stargate, Slash, Justin Timberlake, Ne-Yo and Akon, on her fourth studio album Rated R in March 2009. On October 8, 2009, Rihanna shot the cover for her fourth album with Ellen von Unwerth in Berlin. Rihanna worked closely with Simon Henwood for the album's brand and styling. The new album was released November 23, 2009. The album's lead single, "Russian Roulette", was released on October 20, 2009. Rihanna performed the song on The X Factor on November 29, 2009.The official video was released on November 13, 2009. The second single, "Hard" which features Young Jeezy, was released on November 2, 2009.

Rihanna

Rihanna went into the studio in early 2007 with Ne-Yo, Stargate, and Timbaland among others to record her third album, Good Girl Gone Bad. The album was released on June 5, 2007. The album so far has yielded eight hit singles, including the worldwide number one hit "Umbrella," featuring Jay-Z. In addition to reaching number one in various countries, "Umbrella" was the number one single in the United Kingdom for 10 consecutive weeks, making it the longest-running UK number-one single since Wet Wet Wet's single "Love Is All Around" spent 15 weeks at the top in 1994. Her other singles, "Shut Up and Drive", "Don't Stop The Music" and Hate That I Love You were able to mirror the success of "Umbrella," with "Don't Stop the Music" reaching number three on the Billboard Hot 100 while peaking at number one in various countries.

What Is Chris Brown Facing?

Chris Brown has been charged with two felonies: assault and making criminal threats in the alleged beating of Rihanna in February.

Brown could face up to four years and eight months in jail if convicted. The R&B singer is expected enter a plea today. Despite the upcoming proceeding, rumors are swirling that Rihanna and Brown have reconciled.

Rihanna to Rock Out at Charity Inaugural Ball

On January 20th the songstress will headline the Recording Industry Association of America's charity ball benefiting Feeding America. She'll be joining the likes of Will Smith who says he will also be in D.C. for the Inauguration. ""We'll go there and just cry - probably two, three days in a row. Just lots of crying. We'll probably cheer a lot, too," he told reporters at the L.A. premiere of Seven Pounds.

The Night Of The Golden Popcorn

Last night at Universal City, the MTV Movie Awards were a happenin'. As celebs graced the gold carpet, it was really all about those who took home the golden bucket of popcorn. Funnyman Mike Myers hosted the soiree while big winners included Johnny Depp, who took home awards for both Pirates and Sweeney Todd, Juno's Ellen Page for Best Female Performance, Hairspray's Link Larkin (Zac Efron) for Breakout Star, Will Smith for Best Male Performance in I am Legend, Iron Man for Best Summer Movie So Far and Transformers for the Best Movie. With hot performances from Coldplay and the Pussycat Dolls, the stars came out for a much-talked about awards show.

SJP channeled her inner Carrie Bradshaw with an amazing dress, jewels, ankle-high boots and Stanford, Lindsay Lohan made a glamorous appearance in purple, (she even had a Marilyn moment on the carpet!) Rihanna and "good friend" Chris Brown (after his dance off with Myers) sat very close to each other throughout the whole show, The Hills are apparently still alive, the Best Kiss awardees Briana Evigan and Robert Hoffman definitely proved that they deserved the prize, Adam Sandler sang his own tribute after earning the Generation Award and Megan Fox gave the best plug for the sequel to Transformers. Overall, a very entertaining evening!
